How it all began

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Hermann is a humble blue blooded Wahyanite who once had grand ambitions of exploring the NBA as a professional basketball player.
That dream quickly evaporated when he faced insurmountable hurdles: a brutal reality that he is not six feet tall and a complete lack of interest in rigorous physical training. Deciding that market data wasn't so bad after all, he traded Lakers jersey for tailor-made suit, stayed safely in Exchange Square, and became an expert selling data by day.
While NBA was a no-go, his high school basketball court turned out to be the ultimate launchpad. Learning netball at HKU led him directly to the university team - which is where he scored the best catch of his life: Crystal.
Turns out staying in Hong Kong was the best decision after all.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Crystal is a proud blue-blooded Paulinian who once had grand ambitions of exploring the galaxy as an astronaut.
That dream quickly evaporated when she faced insurmountable hurdles: an aggressive tendency toward motion sickness and a complete lack of interest in rigorous physical training. Deciding that gravity wasn't so bad after all, she traded space suits for white coats, stayed safely on terra firma, and became a pharmacist handling poisons by day.
While space was a no-go, her high school netball court turned out to be the ultimate launchpad. Learning netball at St. Paul's led her directly to the university team—which is where she scored the best catch of her life: Hermann.

Crystal and Hermann’s story began on the Shamshuipo netball court back in 2014. Crystal was repping HKU as the star Goal Shooter, busy converting passes into points inside the circle—though her best score of the day was definitely catching Hermann’s eye off the court, where he was holding down the fort as the team's External Vice President (easily the best executive decision of his life!).
What started as court-side banter quickly evolved into a decade of standing side-by-side through every big career move and life transition. They’ve been each other’s ultimate cheerleaders through it all — from celebrating Hermann as he secured his role at HKEX, to Hermann backing Crystal as she bravely pivoted from a Medical Science Liaison at Pfizer to a Hospital Pharmacist.
Through job upgrades, late-night grinds, shared laughs, and grounded ambitions, they’ve grown into best friends, soulmates, and badass partners in life. After over a decade of teamwork, they’re finally ready to lock it in and make it official!
